Miss Jen



 

Miss Jen brings education, experience, dedication, patience, encouragement, and a refreshing passion & energy, along with a fun enthusiasm, to the classroom. She opened First Beginnings Preschool with the vision of providing a safe, nurturing, play based, fun, encouraging, environment that supports children in finding their self confidence, bringing their own interests, strengths and needs into a happy welcoming place, where they can not only prepare for future learning, but where they develop a lifelong love of learning, sense of belonging, and a place her students want to come to! Miss Jen truly loves teaching and adores her little co-workers, and it shows! Each day she individually welcomes in each child with a smile, and a "Good Morning I am so glad you are here!".  She means it, she loves spending her days with her preschool family!
Over her many years teaching she has developed knowledge, and a unique understanding of children and how they learn, however she is constantly continuing her own education, always eager to learn new and exciting ideas to bring to her classroom. She understands that a good teacher is also a life long student. She believes it is her role to support parents in shaping the character, values, goals, and vision they have for their children. 
As a mom of 3, she knows first hand the benefits of a teacher who comes alongside a parent.  
When not teaching, Miss Jen can be found hanging with her family, cheering on the Seahawks & Mariners, cooking, crafting, dreaming up fun vacations to take, attending teaching workshops, and lesson planning fun activities. 
Her  goal is for each child that comes into our preschool, to  feel welcomed, loved, appreciated, encouraged, confident, part of our preschool family, and equipped with the skills they need to succeed.
